no idea how they got the tone, but it sounds pretty standard death metal tone to me (one I happen to like) - I'll check 'em out, always looking for new bands.

Its got a damned weird treble. Very crunchy and focussed, like its in a narrow frequencxy range. Sort of organ-like mids. Sounds strange to mine ears.
