I mean, Judas Priest get two pickups named after their songs. Sinner and Painkiller...
Black Sabbath have Warpig(s) and two of their lead singers have got one as well (DIO, Holy Diver - Ozzy Osbourne, Miracle Man)
-
I think the most distinctive Maiden "guitar" sound is Steve Harris's trademark galloping bass.
So maybe we could have a BK P-bass pickup called The Trooper.

great idea!
problem is, that might cause some forumites to take up bass as their main instrument
lets face it, we're BKP mad.
-
it's probably because we got pickups, that do every maiden era sound already.
the VHII is for the early days, then you got the cold sweat and the holy diver. for the modern tones, you take pretty much just any british sounding pickup and run it through an amp with moderate gain and that's it.
the distinctive sound of iron maiden comes from its members and the way they write.

I would suggest to offer a single coil named "6" and a strat set with three of them called "666"

Now THAT is a cool idea

Then if you had a Ritchie Blackmore signature Strat with just two pickups, it would be... route 66?

Unless one of them is reverse wound, then it's a "69" :P

Not the intention. What does pwned mean anyway? Can someone enlighten a dumb noob german?

I had to look it up in Wikipedia:
"The slang term Pwn, used primarily in the Internet gaming culture, means to soundly defeat an opponent."
Not that we're "opponents", Hunter. More like brothers in arms. Although that's a bit too Dire Straits for comfort....

It's a spelling mistake on the word own - Notice the letter p is right next to the o on a keyboard? - Basically people thought it looked cool and ran with it.
If someone has been "owned" it means they've basically been very much beaten.

I'd buy a set of invaders. As long as they had etchings of eddie on them. And I suppose they'd have to sound good, too.
-
I'm loving The Trooper bass pup idea - awesome!
De-de-dum, de-de-dum, de-de-dum (repeat to fade)

I think Seymour Duncan might have problems with the name, unfortunately.
-
in keeping with BKP names, I'd call the Maiden pickup the 'POWERSLAVE' (TM, heh)
do I get a prize?

Well, if we're gonna have Maiden bass pups, then I want a Rick-sized humbucking bass pup called "Overkill", or possibly just "Hammersmith". 8)
(Well, I can dream, no? )

this could go on forever!!!
But it won't, right? ;)
Otherwise I will have to get out my red pen and start deleting stuff PDT_008

You never know. Add "the" and find a guitar playing judge, it's worth a shot.

This is sexual harrassment!!!!

That ain't the way IP works, dude. If Tim's company had nothing to do with guitar parts or accessories, it might fly, but definitely not with things being the way they are.

So that's where it's been going wrong. I've been trying to 96 with my girlfriend. Just made my back hurt and it smelt like poo (baddum, dum chsssh :drums: )

Sorry boss, been a long day at work and I was keeping myself amused.

That would only work if Maiden actually used 7-strings.
Powerslave
Invader
Trooper
Wrathchild
Wicker Man
Wildest Dreams
The Harlot
The 22
The Beast
