I recently purchased this guitar, it is a Jay Turser JT-230.
Double cutaway
Solid body with set maple neck
Maple Fretboard
Strings thru-body
Tune-o-matic bridge
2 open humbuckers
I was just wondering what everyone thought of it.
It currently has stock pickups but I have a topic in pickups section to help me decide which BKP's to stick in it.

Looks nice, but I've never played one.
where'd you get it? It's not on their website.

Got it from shop called Northern Guitars in Leeds City Center.
Only cost me £99.
I think they've discontinued them now or something.
It plays pretty sweet though.

looks awesome, never played one, fairly simple specs...
i'd love to get my hands on it!
i like the little extras in terms of looks:
- the pattern of the strings-thru-body
- the placing of the fretboard markers
- the headstock (a closer loom would be nice :) )
- the body contours

I think it's gnarly!!

I like it... reminds me of my first guitar only more streamlined

Looks cool! . . a tiny bit musicman shaped.
I know Dusty in Northern Guitars. . cool little shop!

what's the body made of? you just said it's "solid"

Looks decent, looks and spec wise.
Cant really say without playing it though.
Gave it and you the benefit of the doubt and said decent.

The 'dots at the side' thing, im really hooked on that right now. My ibanez prestige has the same thing, and so will the accoustic im buying.
Any idea what the body wood is? basswood?
Can't find any extra information on it...

Here's a picture of the headstock.
And as for the body, it is still unknown to me, all I can say is, it's bright sounding and a similar weight to my previously owned Jackson which was alder, so maybe same.

You might be able to find one, mine was brand new with all plastic over pickups and truss-rod cover and shite. Just keep your eye out for one.
Also, the neck joint on this guitar is awesome and as soon as I can, I will post a pic of it here.
