Right guys, with a warpig in one of my strats, irish tours in the otherand a NB/CS set in my Parker Fly I arrive at replacing the pickups in my RG.
It's a '95 RG570CT, Alder body, maple neck, rosewood fingerboard, maple top, lo pro edge, 25.5 scale, HSH config, generally tuned to C. It's going through a Triple Rectifier.
It's probably gonna be my pure thrash/death metal guitar. I'm really not worried about it doing anything else. So, clarity, definition and articulation are the key points, as well as sounding great under heavy distortion obviously.
I really like the Warpig, but I already have one in a maple necked, alder bodied guitar so I dunno if I want another y'know? Course, if it's gonna sound best...
Also....what finish do we think would look best...only photo I have I'm afraid

If i were you i'd put your nailbomb and cold sweat in the ibanez for the ultimate thrash guitar. maybe get some painkillers or something for the fly?
-
miracle man/trilogy/cold sweat was my first thought, although a warpig might give you better low end
-
I would think Painkiller set.

Cheers guys, we don't think ceramic p'ups might be a bit over the top in a alder/maple guitar then no? That had been a concern.
I'd forgotten all about painkillers to be honest TO, but that's maybe a wee idea...They'll be plenty clear tuned down aye?

I'm a boring old traditionalist of course, but zebras would look great with that sunburst. No ideas on the pickup choice though....
