Title: Raising neck pickup on Strat
Post by: Sailor Charon on April 28, 2007, 07:42:31 PM
I dunno who it was who raised the neck Trilogy Suite on their strat, but flippin 'eck, I tried it on mine and it made a massive difference. Same volume as the bridge but ever so... dare I say warm? rich? Bleedin' marvelous anyway. Almost makes we want to keep my Strat. (Just swap the volume with one of the the tones and switch to a master tone...)
[On mine, the neck pickup was very low - only a couple of mm above the scratchplate, if that.]

I've had BKP's for ages and I'm still fiddling around with pickup heights. For the 3 low strings, the screws on my nailbomb protude about 3-4mm.

you mean the pole pieces? I'm still too scared to go anywhere near them, for feaqr of doing something irreversible.
