Have a 24v dc 60mm fan that cools my valves but is as loud as hell(well is to me) anyone know where I can get a quiet 24v dc 60mm fan?

ahhh..the perfect excuse to turn her up!! :twisted: my boogie 2:50 sounds like a jet, but once i flick the switch,nothing but high gain bliss...you can rig a fan to turn on/off..etc...will check on some mods for you
me...I just turn her up!

a friend of mine just told me he used dielectric grease on his fan and it ran very quiet-he had to take fan out and apart-but a new fan shouldnt be too $$$

Try running the same fan at 12v- the actual air-flow won't be much lower (same kinda principal as a 100w amp isn't twice as loud as a 50w), and it'll be much quieter :)

actually did the reduce to 12v..much quiter was a small part from maplin to step it down from 24v to 12..thanks for replies

get a "Papst" fan. They are the best. or any other high end PC cooler fan should be dead quiet.

yeah problem original one was that it was a 24dc fan comp ones are 12...but sorted that now...thanks
