Was at the guitar show on sunday, and heard one of these being demoed sounded really awesome, but the guy wouldnt let me give it a go.
Does anyone know anywhere that stocks these around london/South East?
Had a look on the internet , but doesnt seem to be much info on these amps in the UK, and i could only find one place in Exeter!
Cheers

Black Machine's Doug sells them, and I'm pretty sure he's in London.
PS: They're phenomenal.
-
How come you didn't come to the BK stand? We had a Diezel and were letting anyone use it!!
-
I played it twice with Davey's Charvel :> :> :>
-
I seem to recall seeing Cranes or Mansons stocking Diezel amps now - not sure if the Black Machine guy still imports them.
-
I need one, I need a Diezel amp... NOW!!
-
I did try the diezel out at the BK stand, but when youre sitting a foot next to one guy to your left playing through the vintage modern and a guy to right playing another amp, over the sound of the show in general, its not the ideal place to make a £2k purchasing decision!
Getting this amp would mean selling a lot of gear, so I really want to spend some quality time testing it all out first.

Doug at Black Machine is the exclusive distributor in the UK.
They are the best point of contact for them
I believe they have sorted out a couple of shops with them too as you mentioned
-
Which Diezel are you interested in?
I tried the VH4 recently and found it really boring.
However the Einstein rips as hell. I had received my annual bonus and it was my birthday, so I had to take it home. Sorry, just had to. It's really great, just I hardly had time to try it sufficiently.
-
:o So Hunter, if i understand your post right, you now have a Bogner, VHT and a Diezel?!
One word... DAAYYYMMNNN. I think i speak for everyone when i say pics and clips!

Mr Impulsive,
my annual bonus was 100 quid :(
Our Chief Execuitives was 750,000

my annual bonus was "congratulations, you're still not fired" :(

haha, yeah indeed. But the VHT's gotta go. Too many amps around.
Now I want a Bogner 4x12 straight cab ...
Clips, yes, I'll try to make some ... when i find time with trying all these amps... by the way, I already drilled a hole in the Einstein and placed another stereo jack for remote switching modes 1-3 in ch 1.
Was relatively piece of cake and now it's a killer 4 channel amp!

I wasnt going to go for the VH4- to many knobs and buttons for me, I was looking at either the einstein or the herbert.
How is the Einstein? - and have they got any jobs going where you work?
-
Einstein is significantly cheaper because it isn't Midi controlled - Although it sounds just as good.

You're right with the MIDI feature, but sound wise I disagree.
To me Einstein sounds way better than the VH4. I haven't tried the Herbert, but imagine it's a bit tighter than the Eini due to 150W and a different tone target. I don't understand why Hammet uses VH4s, maybe they do well on huge stages ...
-
I thought the VH4 had a more rich/full sound than the Einstein, and felt a bit more phwoar - if you get my drift...
They all sound phenomenal though.
-
and felt a bit more phwoar
Haha, the only way I felt that was in my right arm when carrying the head from the front of the shop to the trial room :P
Yeah well, individual tastes can be different ... the shop where I compared them had a used VH4 for 1800 EUR, but I went home with the Einstein which was a bit more expensive even. I found the VH4 opposed to your judgement rather flat and thin, unrich and boring so to speak.
I almost would have taken the Soldano Avenger, but then I would only have gotten one channel ... a kickass one though ... Eini Ch2 was almost on par with it though

Send me your CV, we always need good people 8)
-
What do you do for a living Hunter?
-
Why are herberts so expensive?!?!
I would do anything for that amp
-
^ probably because you would do anything for it.
