Title: Guitar Collections!
Post by: noodleplugerine on May 03, 2007, 08:23:41 PM
I thought it would be cool to have 1 thread with everyone's guitar collections to pin or something, (forgive me if this has allready been done before).

I also thought it would be a good chance to show off my gear (although it's not amazing :p).

Anyway - I'll step forward first...

1st thing's first - Heads up to Thomann.de - The best site EVER.

A parcel this size came from Germany in 3 days - AWESOME SERVICE - Even shipped the same day I ordered it (which I'm pretty sure was a Sunday!).

Now on to the Collection:

Amps from left to right - Vox AD30VT, 15w Peavey Keyboard amp I use for my bass (was cheap as hell), and a Fender Frontman which I found yesterday :D.

On top of them are a Boss ME-50 and a Boss MT-2, neither are amazing, but the ME-50 has served me well, (barely used the MT-2 to be honest.).

Now the axes:

Warwick Rockbass Corvette - 5 string - Active.

Very nice bass imo, although I need to get a thicker B string since it's a bit flabby for my tastes, rarely play this beauty to be frank, but love it so much :p

Epiphone G-400 Custom, guitar I've had longest, and served me well, although it's really not that great, not much to say about it - Tuned to C Standard or Drop A# atm with 13-56, don't find much use for drop tunings atm, but it's allways there in case something turns up.

Dean Exotica FM - Lovely acoustic, although some may disagree - The finish makes it a bit quiet when acoustic.. But really sounds amazing when plugged in - I really recommend it for those who need an acoustic for live work.

Ibanez RGT42DXFM - Lovely guitar, had it just under a week and allready say it's one of the best superstrats I've played made in the last 5 years - Much better than the other stuff in the price range, aka, Jackson SL-3, Dean Vendetta 4, LAG Arcane 200, etc, - This blows them out of the water, and easily competes with the Ibanez Prestiges, and beats alot of them imo...

ESP Viper Standard Camo - Lovely. Really nothing else to say about it. Gorgeous to play, and really just an awesome guitar.

Not bad for someone who turned 16 exactly 1 week ago :p

Whose next

Parts strat - not sure what pickups I'm putting in this yet, chances are they wont be Bareknuckles though
Charvel Model 1C - had a Rebel Yell in but I was gonna sell the guitar so I took it out.. decided I'm not selling it anymore so I might put the RY back in at some point
Epiphone LP Custom - has Mules (obviously), and I plan on getting a better nut fitted sometime (tusq?)

Amp is my GH50L into an unbranded upright 2x12 I got off ebay. Dont have a photo of my pedals but I just have a V847 and Korg DT10 infront and a Behringer EQ in the loop for lead boosts. Also have a Crafter D6 acoustic.

Some sweet collections there. I'll be sure to take a pic or two in the near future

nfe, don't suppose you're from scotland are you?

I remember seeing an Ibanez like that one in Drummonds (Aberdeen) a few years back, and falling in love with it.

Haha, aye.
You in a band called Leveaux aye? Think I saw it when I was there supporting an old mates band (Milking Meerkats), had to leave half way through the Leveaux set to get a bus home though, but it was some good shite if that was you.

Here's the collection
(http://img.photobucket.com/albums/v679/HalfWookie/axes.jpg)

Not the best picture, but you get the idea.

From left to right, it's a Class Axe era BC Rich Platinum Warlock, Ibanez RGT42 DFXFM, Moser BVi, and a BC Rich M7 Signature Special.

Hopefully gonna get some Miracle Men for the Ibanez, and Ceramic Warpigs for the BVi in the not too distant future.

Hardly ever play the BC Rich's, so I'm not worrying about upgrading the pickups on them.

Apologies for the mess in the background.

Spider, from your collection and the background, i'm guessing you're some kind of sensitive folk guitarist?

i nearly bought one of those Mosers over the internet a while back, but chickened out.  what's it like? looks fantastic!

Haha, beleive it or not, I don't play too much folk music. I have been known to knock out a bit of Layla, and some Rush on the Moser though.

I would highly reccomend it. It plays as good as it looks. Nice action, comfy neck. It's a neck through, and you can get right down to the 24th fret with ease. It's surprisingly light too, and doesn't sound half bad either, still room for improvement with some BKP's though.

sounds good, might reconsider getting one.  it kinda cries out for the ceramic warpig, doesn't it!  might throw people off and put unpotted stormy mondays in one, then turn up at a blues night

apparently the alnico warpigs can handle jazz tones quite well

i have a set in a Patrick Eggle Berlin, they can handle pretty much anything!  fantastic pickups, really surprised me with their versatility.  maybe not jazz though cuz i have the tone control disconnected.
