does anyone have a bridge alnico miracle man?
what's it's dc resistance to match the usual 17k neck version?
how does it sound, specially on mids and bottom?
how does it compare to the other alnico contemporary bk pickups (holy diver, warpig and nailbomb) and to the usual ceramic version?

Having changed ceramic magnets to alnico in other pickups before, I'm aware of the typical change in tone. you get the mids brought out at the expensive of a slighter looser bass (and I mean slightly). you get a bit of compression in the top end so the overall effect is a slightly smoother treble.
I've had a MM and WP in other guitars and currently have a NB in my Explorer. I'd say the closest to an alnico MM is the NB - I'd imagine the NB to be pretty close to a MM with an alnico magnet.

I'd say Ceramic Warpig is the closest to the MM, i wouldn't say the nailbomb is very similar at all.

hey there ,
i have an alnico v MM bridge in a custom made SG .
very even tonal response - not slightly scooped in the mids like the ceramic version .
it also loses that metallic edge in the bottom and the top - also not quite as hot .
i have recordings here of both MM versions (ceramic and alnico) in the bridge of the same guitar , and to my ears the alnico sounds a lot bigger and more organic .
but of course , it depends what sound you're after .
