Thats awesome man. Bet with your PRS SE loaded with BKP sounds even better. I myself tried PRS SE Singlecut and Custom SE. They are great guitars and with top quality build and resonance despite being more affordable. Don't you think so Hunter??

They are great guitars. Might be just 1/3 of the price of a US PRS, but is definitely more than 1/3 the guitar.

Thanks man, but it's just a simple SM57 and a small 12ch mackie mixer - it's all about the mic position and not being too quick but taking time when dialing in the tone.

Yeah, I've got an SE Custom, I was amazed at how much cheaper it was than the US PRS's, i have yet to get BKPs for it, but i will definitely be getting some soon.

And love the recording, great tone

Oh now that is some serious tone. I want a Diezel worse than before now. Great playing too Hunter.

PRS SEs are fantastic guitars too, I have an Singlecut, and it's no exaggeration to say they would still be good value if they were £700, never mind £450.

I've been telling people how good mackie mixers are for years and this clip justifies my point. Great tone, it's nice and beefy.

its an obvious Thing to send KUDOS for hunter´s Clips
so, i´ll just FOLLOW the CLASSIC AND OBVIOUS THINGS
"AMAZING CLIPS"(Now my personal sentencies)
hahahahahaha
Awesome tone, awesome playing, awesome crunchy middles, awesome vintage/airy highs ,and enough growl for the Bass thing
Hails
JP
i think most of this is coming frmo the amp right!?
the Bkps just make sure things will sound as accurate, clear, articulated and just boost the amps character.
!?!?!
am i right or bloody wrong!?

Thanks for all the comments guys, it makes me happy and proud that you like the clip. I think it came out quite mellow and vintage sounding, which is rather unusual for a Diezel.

Re the Mackie, yeah man, they are great mixers. I used to do electronic stuff about 5-10 years ago, and I just loved the way those mic preamps could be cranked to make synthesizers sound fat.

But I'm wondering whether in these more classic recording application it wouldn't be advisable to use a good mic preamp. I mean, I listen to the Steve Stevens clip and every time I think there must be something he does damn right and I think it must be the mic pre (whereas obviously it's the playing, the double tracking and the studio environment with a cranked Roccaforte ...)

I love this clip because you don't play what Ritchie played as a a result it's helped to give me some new ideas. Thanks.

Standard wiring, but I replaced the cheapo Epiphone stuff with CTS pots and proper wire and  some ceramic disc caps. Is that a Tak Matsumoto Elitist in your avatar?

Cheers for the quick reply, the CTS pots and maybe some bumblebee caps are what I was thinking of, possibly a new switch and jack while I'm at it too. Yeah, bang on with the Tak, not mine though, D'oh!

GREAT clip hunter! Awesome tone; it's soooo thick and beefy! All your clips rock so hard; you're a consistantly fantastic player. Your version of this song owns the original hands down aswell. I should really crawl out ur arse about now ... well done :)
