Bugger, theyre only 16ohm, and I need another 8 ohm one :( G12Hs are great as well.

(Both 16 Ohm sorry tom)
Would G12H30s go well with seventy 80s? I might replace 2 of them in my Laney cab. Is the large difference in power handling gonna cause problems?l
-
I have no idea, but I'm using one in a 2x12 (so its at max a 60w rated cab) with my GH50L and its fine. Sounds great as well, all my recordings with Laney were done with the G12H mic'ed up :)
-
Yeah I'd love G12H30 in my Gflex because I find it a bit harsh at the moment but the power rating is 30W so won't be enough for my VH100R :( But it WILL be enough in a 4x12. Don't wanna spend loads so I thought I'd just change 2 of them.
-
Well I'm pretty sure in a 2x12, to get the final cabs wattage, you multiply the lowest rated speakers wattage by 2, so in a 4x12 I would assume you just multiply that by 4 instead, so in this case it'd be 120w and should work fine..
Somebody correct me if I'm wrong, which I more than likely will be
-
That's exactly what I was thinking when I said that. 60W in 2x12 and 120W in 4x12. And I think you take the lowest powee handling speaker and multiply by the number of speakers in the cab if there's different speakers.
-
Sounds about right.
I thought about getting a pair to try in my 4x12 while they're cheap, but decided to stick with my current V30s which I really like.
-
are those the heritage ones or the "normal" ones?
if they're the normal ones, they seem a bit cheaper, but when you add on VAT and postage you're maybe saving about a tenner - £15, i think?
