ARIA PE ELITE ELECTRIC GUITAR

Neck: Maple set neck, Heel-Less
Fingerboard: Rosewood
22 Frets
Scale: 628mm (22.75")
Pickups: 2 x OH-1 Humbuckers
Controls: 2 x Volume, 1 x Tone, 1 x Pick-Up Selector Switch
Tailpiece: SPT Bridge, QH Tailpiece
Hardware: Chrome
Colour: Wine Red
£150 from iMuso
I might get it as a back up and maybe to put a set of BKPs in :D
very suspicious about the carved top though. Probably veneer but still sounds like a pretty decent guitar...

At that price, if the flame part of the top is a veneer, I'd say it doesn't really matter. As long as it's got a solid piece of maple under the the flame veneer, the tone should unaffected. Looks like a decent guitar, especially for £150 quid. If all you want it for is a backup and you can afford it, take a shot.

Yeah just wondering whether to fork out little bit more and get something like a Washburn Idol series or something.
-
I'd buy it.
-
Humm - Look at that scale length.
Is that a full size guitar.
I can'y see any chance that its a real carved maple top for that money.
I wouln't buy wihout seeing it first
-
I think that scale length is a typo. 628mm is 24.75" I think. Aria PEs are a bit thinner than LPs so maybe it could be real maple? Or it could be sycamore or something and they just called it maple.
-
If it's not then trading standards could have a lot of fun with them.
They are certainly NOT describing a carved maple top with veneer, so they are letting themselves in for a lot of potential trouble.
All the E&OE terms and conditions they may quote don't mean a damn, (providing you are buying from within the UK).
I'd suggest checking out Arias site, certainly in the past they where killer guitars (when I was 17 my dream guitar was an Aria)
Just checking their website, which is down ATM, but the google cache is there :)
PE Std is alder
PE Gothic is Basswood
I absolutely love the Supra, Inspire and the Anniv models

Seems like a fantastic price.
Just a minor thing, but a bit odd - the site below has photos of an actual PE-Elite, and it has a bog-standard tune-o-matic and tailpiece instead of the fancy ones shown on the Aria site:

Great value
Glued in neck too!
Buy it /pimp it up and be willing to maybe have it given a set up by a tech
Should be a great guitar
Is that the picture of the actual guitar?

That site also says this:
Easier reach up to the 22nd fret of the Rosewood fingerboard? great for some Slash style soloing!!
So I wouldn't take it seriously :|

That looks awful! Very plasticcy, if it's gonna be like that then it'd be a waste of money.

Yeah that's what I was gonna do except I'd do the set up myself. That's a stock picture, and after what Philly posted I'm not sue if it's even gonna have the same features.
There's a couple of guitars I'm watching on ebay at the moment. If I don't get them I might still go for this but obviously I'd do more research on it.
