What's going on?
Since those two threads were locked, everything has gone a bit subdued........or perhaps it's just me.

Yes it has gone a bit quiet , but i would be very surprised if it had much to do with unruly threads being locked.
More likely all the talk about football drivng folks away
It may have more to do with it being exam time in schools, and a bit of sunny weather getting a few peeps going outside a bit more.
There are often ebbs and flows on the forums here.......

+1 on on exams, I'm up to my neck in them at Uni right now.
-
+1 again. in the midst of GCSEs at the moment.

AMEN (kidding)
I'm not keen of football myself but I know others are.
Actually i love a game of 5 a side, but cant be doing with all the hype and tabloid nonsense of the beautiful game.

I can't stand football....

I never liked football, and don't believe I ever will.
I was still glad to see united losing though, tis a pity chelsea didn't lose as well (my brother inlaw supports them you see).

I can't be bothered by football. I never liked it and I never will.
How come there's never anything about darts here? This IS a British forum, isn't it? And AC/DC never go on tour without a dart board.
My soundproof rehearsal room has guitars, amps, PA, a fridge full of beer and a dart board. Many would considder it heaven.
-
I am not a football fan either. It lost it's appeal for me many many years ago. I am not that keen on sport at all for that matter.

I think darts is becoming as much a Dutch sport as a British one now, isn't it? Let's make it an Olympic event quick so we can guarantee a medal or two.
Funny how this "it's all gone quiet......" thread has turned into an "I don't like football" thread.
It was only one football thread, guys, you can come back now.
Guys?
Guys?
Guys?
Guys?
Guys?......
Anyone there?

I say we blame the communists.
-
It was really the "Pickups" forum that I was commenting on, thats where I posted this thread, but it got moved.
Nothing wrong with football though, but unfortunately, I'm an Arsenal fan, so my season ended a long while ago :(

GCSEs here too..... bloody revision!
i don't go outside much (because of guitar and books) and i don't like football
yesterday i got back from an exam at 12:30, and didn't go on the forum for the rest of the day (record!) but i read and played guitar the whole time
i have a sudden love for reading.... wierd.... but not silly happy adult reading... dark, action-ish scary reading...
EDIT: this reminds me, i'm supposed to do 4 hours of revision today, better start now!

what are you currently reading?

i actually don't mind football, i quite like it... but unfortunately, my dad is football mad, and my two flatmates (housemates? it wasn't a flat, lol) in university were even worse, so that kinda put me off...
I have been watching the cricket a lot lately, though...

4 hours?? thats a long time to work outside of school, my parents are making me do 3 hours, but they're getting me a Boos Micro BR as soon as the exams finish.
I've just got back home from a two and a half hour ICT exam, which I think is slightly excessive.

 ICT exams are ridiculous, they give you way too much time. I finished my GCSE one (2 hours I think), in about 45 minutes, and my 2 hour AS one was done within half an hour!
I've impressed myself today, I actually managed to do some good revision, did a past paper and everything :P
-
i definitely remember having 3 hour exams... though i can't remember if that's university or school, though.
-
Next week I've got a 2 and a half hour music exam and then a 3 hour biology exam straight after :x its gonna be torture

[sarcasm in voice]My God - how do teenagers cope these days - 3 hours without a fag break

Do you not mean 3 waking hours without texting, MS chat or smashing up bus shelters ;)
(Should actually say 3 hours without a guitar shouldn't I)

Yes - I figure that those stereotypes dont apply to the BKP forumites who are more likely to be either playing guitar, posting on the forum or checking out which guitar to buy next.
-
According to the song :
"Theres only one Stevie Gerrard"
According to the UK electorial roll theres 64 Stevie Gerrards
-
football to me
:minigun:O:shock:
The "O" is a football (Trust me on this one)

No - not bitter at all ( a nice cold lager would go down well tonight though)
My sarky comment about smoking stemmed from recently seeing some teenagers who were not able to last a 15 minute train journey without having to light up on the train and then gave shite to anyone who asked them to put it out.
To be fair I find that the young players on here are pretty motivated and as fired up about gear as any of the others.
I tease about the footie, but it's only because it gets way too much media attention. I like football , but would prefer to play than to watch. (I'm not any good - just always enjoyed a kickabout)
I dont envy anyone doing exams this week - been a bit hot and stuffy.
I managed to break my arm the week before the exams and had to dictate all mine ( O levels). Got asked to spell every other word too - it was wierd!

haha, that's awesome. i love how (a lot of, not all to be fair) smokers think their rights to smoke because of self-inflicted addiction overrides everyone else's rights not to feel like they can't breathe.
agreed about football... a lot of the time it feels like every other sport is second class.
sucks about o-levels... must have been surreal. i sprained my ankle just before my a-levels (not the same, it healed in about a week), but i felt like a right tool going into the exam hall on crutches. the sympathy of my mates (bursting out laughing) helped a lot too, obviously.

Passive smoking is alot more dangerous than direct smoking anyway - So smoking in a public place is really harsh.
