Title: how to paint a PU?
Post by: Daemon Barbeque on May 30, 2007, 09:27:40 PM: Well ,i want to order a MM 7 tomonrow.
But i want to have a neon Orange one :twisted:
I know that Tim does not make them ,so i have to paint it!

Wich kind of paint should i use?Does anyone have any experience.End wich color is eaiser to work with?White or Black?

Post by: scott_1985 on May 31, 2007, 12:37:35 AM: You wouldn't have a problem with acrylics, or for something a little more hardwearing an enamel based paint would be suitable. Obviously you'll need to mask around the areas you dont want to be the nosebleed orange colour your looking for.

Maybe you could buy the plastic part from them and then get tim to build you a pick up with them.

I would'nt fancy painting one - did you see Eddies Attempt? usually the paint just peels right off.

Thanx for the tip dude ,i know Swineheads ,and they are not that bad ,but not good enough tho!
I have an old PeavyBucker as test object.And i used Acryl spray paint.First used a sanding paper for making the surface rough ,and then painted to white.After that ,i painted to orange.It doesnt look bad ,but i need a way to finish it with a clear and hard surface.And alltough it's not %100 dry now ,it's really stable and hard to ripp.
