I have this amp:
- JTM45 ( 5F6-A ) clone amp with a couple of Plexi era twists
- Made by the same guy who builds the amps for Carl Martin
- Hand wired, all point-to-point using terminal strips a là Hiwatt
- Combination of TAD Mustard, Sozo and Auricaps coupling caps
- Valves; 2 x KT66 GEC, 2 x Mullard ECC83, 1 Philips ECC83 with matched triodes for the PI, 1 x Philips GZ34. Naturally all NOS .
- Parallel FX loop with mixing pot and gain reduction switch
- Cathode bias operation switch
- Master volume pot
- Obsolete Electronics JTM45 repro output transformer wired for 16 ohms.
- Black Tolex covered
- 2 x 12” semi-closed cabinet, same tolex as head with two handles a là vintage VOX and BluesBreaker grille cloth.
- Weber Blue Dog and Silver Bell alnico speakers. 12”.
- Only the best components available used.
- Minimum use ( around 50 hours all in all )
I'm bot using it that much I was thinking about selling it for the right amount of money. What would be a good price for it?

Got some pics?
Aesthetics are everything in the unknown.
Never mind - You're too fast for me :p

i'll give yu £100? :D
-
seriously tho i'd say £1000 at least!

I think you'll have trouble pricing it as it's a custom build - you'll get the best price if someone who's after the exact specs you've chosen comes forward, which may take a while (if they do actually exist of course). I think you'd get the best price selling the two items separately too.
What price do YOU think they're worth?
Oh, and PM sent ;)

Here's a link to a US based top-spec kit that might help with the pricing:

Amazing....
The guy who built my amp now makes the amps for Carl Martin using the same methods and materials. I've found that these amps sell in combo format w/ reverb for 2200 pounds !!!

Besides, mine was a special unit with Weber alnicos instead of the stock Celstion V30s, mustard caps, the very difficult to find Obsolete Electronics JTM45 OT and the virtually impossible to get ( or ridiculously expensive ) original KT66s and Mullard valves.

I stand firm at 10 dollars

It's a really tough call. I have several custom made amps too, and they really are hard to value. Mine are made by John McIntyre who has done work for several big name guitarists, and also had an amp issued by Lexicon, but that still doesn't help when you want to sell them (not that I do btw!).
From when I was in retail, the dealers rule of thumb for an outright buy is it must be less than the trade price. I am guessing that the trade on the Carl Martin would be anywhere from 12-1700 pounds (dealer markup can be up to 100% in the US). So you should probably be thinking somewhere in that region for a private sale. I know that the cab would probably sell separately, but I think in this case you are right to keep them together.

thank you guys!
I've thinking about it and I think I won't part with it for now...
BTW, I've seen that current prices for original KT66s is 200 quid each and Mullard ECC83s for a hundred. Crazy or what ? The amp is worth half a grand on valves alone!
