Hi Guys. I am looking for some educated opinions on an Ibanez RG507? Are they up to much?
All I really care about is build quality.

I have an RG505 which is probably round about the same. They are made in Japan so pretty much equivalent to a Prestige back in the day when it was made.
The woods are awesome and i love the wizard neck, got gotoh tuners on it and an Original edge trem, stock pickups are a bit thin so i replaced the humbuckers with Holy Divers and left the stock single coil, now it sounds amazing!!

I have a feeling that the 505 and the 507 are all but identical to the 550 and 570. Whats the diff between your 505 and a 550?

I think the difference is myn has a Rosewood fretboard and the RG550 has a Maple fretboard.

Are these origional Wizard neck's or wizard II's?

I just got an RG550 and, just like i imagined, it's my perfect guitar, now i want one with a rosewood fretboard for a slightly meatier sound.

Would a 505 be a good option for that?

^ good if you switch pickups, basically. and you like the thin wizard neck. and basswood.

I want it for shredding and big metal riffs. I am going to chuck a couple of Nailbombs in it ( and I dont know what in the middle).
So the wizard neck is perfect, as for basswood????

Basswood is awesome for nailbombs just listen tims sample at the top of the players thread.

i also found basswood to be good for the miracle man but prefer it in mahogany.

Well it depends on the year it is built in, by the year my RG505 was built i am led to believe it has a wizard ii.
