As you guys know I'm looking to build my own guitar (via the cheat method...buying the parts & putting them together) but I'm wondering whether to go for SSS config (it being a strat) with a set of Irish tours with a rewound middle pickup or go for a HSS set. Now I've seen the normal sets that Tim does, but I noticed that there isn't a rebel yell with say 2 irish tours. Do you guys think it's go together? The body of the guitar is solid alder with a nitro finish.
Thanks

Tim recommended the Mother's Milks with the Rebel Yell when I was getting a HSS set. What fingerboard will you be using, the IT's could be a bit bright with maple.

Nah, not going that way, hoping to have a flamed maple back with a brazilian rosewood board. It's just that the Irish Tours sound soooooo nice!
