Title: Delay pedal cacelling out the signal?
Post by: everton_fc on June 04, 2007, 09:20:23 AM
Hi - was using a delay last night and I noticed that sometimes it if playing arpeggios the signal would die slightly - is that 'cause the delay is repeating too much whilst I'm playing and effectively cancelling itself out? Any ideas? Any ideas around this issue? It's not a big deal and only realy notice it when playing arpeggios. Thanks

Whaddya mean die slightly? Maybe you just need to fiddle with the delay and decay settings?

Kind of like when I play an arpeggio, by the time I've struck the 3rd note  the delay of the first note kind of cancels out the sound of the struck string slightly. Wierd. Guess your right, need to play with the pedal...

wonder if the repeated note is out of phase to thge original signal and is cancelling the picked note to some degree
