Title: New cab day!
Post by: _tom_ on June 06, 2007, 11:46:51 AM
Tube Town custom british 2x12 arrived today! Looks awesome, and feels really sturdy. Havent wired it up yet so I have no idea how it sounds, but I decided to take photos and thought I might as well put my guitars up by it as well :)

Flex back option - so it can be open or closed back (because I dont know which I prefer, so I can experiment with this easily):

And with my guitars (though the strat is going HSS soon):

Gonna put my 2 G12Hs in it, should sound good. Will come back when I've wired it to tell you how it sounds.

edit - Just wired it up, sounds great! Bit tighter than my old cab, but still sounds as large, which I wasnt expecting. Seems a bit more "crisp" if that makes sense? Anyway I'm really pleased with this and can highly recommend Tube Town cabs (http://www.tube-town.net/index.html)! The best part is that it only cost £240 including speakers.

Its not actually that big, measured up its not as wide as a 1936 or Framus 2x12, just a bit taller coz one speakers a bit higher than the other.

that looks cool, the removable back is a neat idea too.
