Can Bareknuckles do a 7 string pickup with a chrome cover?
and... if so.. do they look good in a guitar? Haven't found a single 7 string guitar with covered pups!
some pics and info would help alot 8)
thanx

As far as I know there are no covers for 7-string pickups. I've searched all around the internet for them and found nothing.

BKP doesn't do covers for sevens.

I asked for mine and the answer was no..
good luck finding some

Chances are if you were desperate for some you could probably make your own?
They're just a polished sheet of nickel technically right?
-
You need to get it wax potted and everything too though.
-
That can be done in many places though, I know that Feline does it for fact.

I don't know how it would look if it was a DIY cover, might looks a bit cr@ppy, unless you have some kind of crafting skills i wouldn't recommend making one because to be honest it might look shitee

I never did metalwork at school, but surely it's not as simple as all that?! They need to be cast (or whatever the process is) to surround the pickup on 5 sides, then chrome plated.
Not something you could knock together on the kitchen table one wet Sunday afternoon, I'd have thought, but I could be wrong.

Presumably it could be done though?
Maybe you could pay a professionals metalworker to do it - Presumably wouldn't cost the same as the pickups... :p

The covers are stamped out by a pretty big machine.
Precision made dies need to be made to be used in the machine
The cost of tooling up to do covers is massive.
Tim has invested in having his own made for the 6 stringers
He also had tooling made to ake the baseplates that you see on the BKPs
There would have to be a huge demand and I do mean HUGE to make it worthwhile doing a cover for a 7 string variant.
It may be one of those never say never situations but it would have to be seriously worthwhile before any steps were taken in that direction
As Noodles rightly said we do wax dipping for pickups in our workshop
We don't make covers though.........sticking to making guitars!
