I decided to keep the Ibanez but something weird is going on.
Before when i had the HD's in there the bridge pickup used to cut out occasionally like it was coil split sometimes, and all other positions work fine, but if you picked really hard chord or something once then it would start working again, so i didn't think much of it.
But now that i have put the Ibanez humbuckers back in it doesn't go back to normal even though i was playing a few hours ago and it was working.
So i figured something has to be wrong one of the pots because i can't see why it would do this since everything is wired up fine.

I just did the hard picked chord thing again and it works, but no doubt i will cut out again in a few minutes.
What is going on?!!

hmm i think you need to stop rewiring guitars joe.....
but seriously i have no idea whats wrong.
-
Haha i think i do need to stop because it only ever leads to problems.
It can't be the pots i don't think because if it were then none of them would work, could be the switch...

sounds like a bad connection to me. I would look for a dud solder connection and also check if the coil split wires are touching anything they shouldnt - you do have them taped off dont you?
-
Yeah taped off, i'll open her up tomorrow see what's going on in there.

what sort of molestation have you been subjecting your ibanez to ???
i had a similar problem cuz i was always playin about with the guitars guts an last time i goofed it up and all sort of annoyin cut outs an cr@p was happenin, nothin looked wrong but i think i had sort of damaged my 3way selector so it was causin all sorts of havoc.
have a good wee look inside, maybe soome solder has hit th circuit boards or whatever is in there an slighty damaged it.
