Hi all,
I'm considering upgrading the pups on my Ibanez S7420 (7 string) and I'm pretty much set on a nailbomb at the bridge but... what for the neck?
Ideally I'm looking for something that'll mainly be used clean, with a good smooth sound. At the moment I'm using a DiMarzio FRED on my 6 string for this purpose so something similar in response to that would be great.
Any recommendations on a BKP that fits the bill?

Either a Nailbomb or a Cold Sweat neck to go with a NB bridge.
NB is slightly better IMO at neck leads, but CS is an absolutely wonderful neck pickup - for clean or lead. It compliments all the high output bridge models really well, a fantastic allrounder. CS would be my choice.

I've got a Carvin 7 with a Nail Bomb going in the bridge and I matched it with a Cold Sweat for the neck (per Tims suggestion)

I don't have a 7 string, but in my Ibanez I have the Nailbomb/Cold Sweat combo and it sounds great.

Thanks for the suggestions :)
Does anyone have any clips of Cold Sweat in the neck postion played clean?

There's some CS neck in this clip (http://www.bareknucklepickups.co.uk/forum/viewtopic.php?t=6494) I posted a while back...

Thanks for the clip.
Any clips of the CS neck clean strummed?
I've heard a few lead lines with it now but I'd like to see how it rounds out on chords.
