ok, i know ive posted a lot of shite latley, but this was an awesome breakthrough in recording that really showcases the tone im getting. i recorded this in stereo using an Audix i-5 about 6 inches from the cab on the left speaker, and an MXL 9000 tube mic about 9 feet from the amp and 5 feet up in the air. there is a slight delay between the left and right channels that i forgot to offset before recording, and it cant be changed afterwards without a helluva lot of work. lemme know how it sounds...

I think you nailed it! Sounds pretty awesome to me.

yeah, i think this is as good as i can get without any more upgrades. still to come on my list before i start recording the album is:
1. Avatar Hellatone Speakers (Broken in vintage 30s)-these will make the sound a bit warmer and help to tame the fizz.
2. Change capacitors in B-52 head-Will also help to tame the fizz.
plus i have to do a couple things to my recording technique-Change the tube in my mic to a JJ Goldpin, Get some good studio monitors, and acoustically treat my studio room.
glad you like it. i thought it was damn good, especially when i hung the tube mic of a venitian blind (hey, im 1000 miles from home for the summer. i couldnt pack all my mic stands)
