I always find these Top Fives impossible :? . I'll have to do 5 (in no particular order) and loads of honourable mentions. It's all pretty much bluesy hard rock and old-school metal I'm afraid. Here we go:

Jeff Keith
+1 to Steve Marriott
And some great guitarists who are also fantastic singers:
Dave Meniketti
Leslie West
Dave Gilmour
Richie Kotzen (even better on vocals than guitar, the bugger!)
Warren Haynes

i don´t listen to clean vocals, only a really few and selected ones.. simple because i don´t dig them, although i can appreciate them, and judge them etc. but i really dn´tlike heavy metal in general, only a few bands...
that vocalist from DREAM EVIL is VERYYYYYYYYY Good.
I preffer Black, death, thrash metal voices.
a lot of people bashes dirty vocalists.. but i don´t care..
Q:)
-
Freddie Mercury The one and only!
Eric Adams Who would otherwise be able to stand Manowar's music?
Judit Holofernes From "Wir sind Helden". Talk about redefining the upper range, perfectly clear voice.
Max Cavalera If I had to record a "real" metal album, I'd hope Max would shout on it. That's a voice! Listen to some of the live stuff.
Shery Crow Because she can sing stuff everybody else would sound off-key in. Best on her bluesy stuff IMO.

David Lee Roth
David Coverdale
Robert Plant
Steve Tyler
Eddie vedder
Nuff Said
Oh and that guy from the commitments!

The acoustic album with Overkill on it is AMAZING, Start Something. Just him, an acoustic and maybe an overdubbed acoustic here and there. Awesome voice.
And he's Scottish also, just like the AC/DC guys emigrated to Oz when they were younger, kinda explains his unique voice :)
-
but not his unique look *L*
-
Freddy Mercury and David Coverdale have both come up a few times.. I honestly think Freddy had the best voice in the world..
-
no order...
Joe Elliot - Def leppard
Ozzy - for his talent of finding guitarists
Vince Neil
Bryan Adams
Zakk Wylde - (Pride & Glory + Solo album ONLY)
What do people think to William Duvall . . . Layne's replacement,

Matt Bellamy
+1!
really? i can't stand the bloke. other than his voice, muse are alright. He just whines over perfectly good songs! imo
-
his 'whining' (which i agree- is what it is in a way), MAKES the songs...
its like Plant and Zeppelin... Plant's relative odd whining (which again- is basically what it is in many cases) adds something to the overall effect.
i dunno... i guess it's a love/hate thing
-
Tom Waits
Don Henley
Billy.F.Gibbons
David Coverdale
Roger Waters

my top five:

3) Phil Anselmo (Pantera) (awesome growl while still classifying as "singing")
4) Ronnie James Dio (Dio, Rainbow, Black sabbath for a bit) (again, awesome live, very powerfull voice)
5) Tom Waits (if anyone can growl like him i reccomend seeing a throat clinic, you can just hear this man like his fags and whiskey, very few guys with that kinda voice can pull it off!)
-
Peter Gabriel
Steve Earle
Peter Dolving
Ihsahn
Devin Townsend
