Does anyone know if a 50mm Warpig will sound shitee in a 53mm Gibson SG bridge?
I don't think it will make a damn difference. Any people disagree?

aren't gibson's 50mm anyway?
I have a 50mm in a 53mm Kahler'd LP, sounds fine to me
local guitar tech tells me that there is going to be no big difference
however, i don't know about the warpig sounding shitee lol

It won't sound shitee.
What's the actual string spacing directly above the bridge pickup polepieces? I'd guess probably about 51mm, so you could go either way. I have both 50mm and 53mm pickups on Gibsons, and they all sound fine.

50mm is the standard spacing for Gibbos - 53mm is usually used for Fender/Superstrat spacing.

I don't know I don't have the guitar yet? I got the guy to measure the polepiece distance yesterday and he measured them at 53mm. Its an SG 1.

I think that's basically identical to my SG-X, but without a scratchplate.
A 50mm pickup should be fine. Have you already got the pickup?

Yep, picked up a 50mm Warpig from flea-bay, arrived today, great
condition. No guitar to put it in though!
