for a Fender 1952 Re-issue Tele?
The '52 has an unusual wiring set up, the forward switch position (neck only) has a resister across it, so the neck pickup is weakened. The middle switch position is neck only with no resister. Rear switch position is bridge only.
We already have Piledrivers in another Tele.
Your thoughs please?

I would think the new Black Guard Tele sets must be worthy of consideration - see Phil King's comments in this thread:

Phily beat me to it - definately the Black Guard, the only choice then is Flat Pole or Stagger. For me, I would put the flat pole in, as it is the older style pickup and gives a bit more bite.

Thanks guys, I think my wife's going to email Tim to see what he says and find out a bit more about the Black Guards. I'll let ya know if she listened to your advice :)

these Black Guards have my curiosity piqued for sure - I've been quite happy with my Fender CS Nocaster pickups for some time now as well (damn BKP!!!)

One BKP and you can't stop!
