also to choose covers for this as its natural and i hate open coils

I found the VHII worked really well with Ash, although it's not the most powerful pickup.

are you a metal man or do you play other stuff?
and as for pickup rings.... get chrome with chrome covers it looks absolutely awsome on the Les Paul GT
