Missed this when it was released...kinda sad..ain't a Johnny Cash fan or a NIN fan(they did it originally) but a lot of emotion..and a great song done by him

...kinda sad..
its about as heart wrenching as a song can get
-
yeah and never really liked the bland original
-
Its on America IV (with the best version of Personal Jesus ever) - an absolutely great album even if you don't normally like that sought of thing.
-
kinda thinkin will have to give that album a look
-
I've got that album. I'm not a biog Cash fan, but that album is awesome. Might put it on when I get home.
-
Nice to see some of the young 'uns appreiciating a Cash song.
-
mmm is 35 you..am unsure on that one if so whats old
-
That song gets to me every time I listen to it.
It's sparse arrangement makes you focus on the lyrics which are so heartfelt when sung by Cash
Many feel it highlights his sense of loss over the death of his wife June as well as an epitath to Cash himself
Check out "Walk The Line" - a good movie about Cash
A bit hollywood but fairly accurate

I'm a massive HUGE Johnny Cash fan. I think the fact that it's not actually his song actually takes something away from this one; but still, it is imo the most emotive song of all time EASILY.
Fascinating guy, great voice, great tunes; just one of my favourite artists.
+1 one on Walk The Line by the way. Fantastic film; and it makes this song seem extra special...
