Title: BKP-91/92 on Tiny Terror
Post by: hunter on July 21, 2007, 07:20:28 AM
Track1
I could do much more accurate than this, but I did like the attitude behind the playing so I kept it with all its mistakes - it's one take, no FX or anything, just

Pure mahogany Les Paul Special with BKP P types
through an RMC3 Wah
into the Tiny Terror
into 1x12 Marshall with original Rola 12-65
into Shure SM57

Track2
Just some clean playing, with Master on 10 and Gain on 2. Here I did add some reverb from Logic.

Track3
Just some riffing away...

Here is a pic with the last setting

yep, sounds VERY nice - really nailed that nasal honk in the midrange that the early Zep stuff had.

Thanks for the comments, I just listened to Whole Lotta again and euhm ... I screwed the solo up quite a bit #cough.

This was not on very high volume, I should crank it a little more as it opens up better on the drive setting.

The clean setting sounds very very 3D when you stand in front and it's extremely dynamic and chimey.

I am honestly considering to get a second one and set one clean and one full on, switching them with my Radial Headbone - no kidding!

:D What did you have the gain setting to on the "Whole Lotta Love" crunch sound ?

Sounded good to me !

I`m seriousely thinking of getting a TT & a Little Rock.

Really nice sound, I particularly like the clean sound. I was very tempted by a TT when I was looking for a tube amp, but couldn't afford that plus a cab   <-- Jelous

Gain full, but Volume on the guitar was quite a bit backed off, and then turned on full for the Solo.

Master was around 8:30, Tone around 1:00.

On the clean master and tone were both full and Gain around 9:00.

Sorry guys

I can't make decent clips, but the Little Rock sounds better than the TT in my opinion.  It's clearer and more defined.  Maybe when I get my DI box I'll get some better recordings up here on the forum.

Hunter's TT clips do sound great though  :D

Did you totally dismantle the Toster Terror?  The shiny flesh is completely gone!!  PDT_039

...

O, and nice cleans.  The bite on the gain is quite substantial and very appealing

doesn't sound a million miles away from the DC30 I built (except mine uses a pair of 6V6s).

Haha, eagle eyes going there  :P

Upgraded the Gibson with Schaller roller bridge and Gotoh locking tuners.

Stays in tune and sounds awesome now.

By the way, I edited/added a 3rd clip to the initial thread...

Awesome clips as always, playing and tone are great.
First Enter Sandman with the Diezel then One with the TT, i think you're secretly a big time Metallica fan! :P

One question though, why have you taken off the thingy on the TT?

Oh and by the way the colour of that Gibson is quality!
