Woah those are beautifully neat!
That big thing is the same thing that Petrucci shows off in his videos right?
Is it a case of a customer giving you some money, and you choosing the pedals, board, and the loopers, buffers etc?
or do you just build the board out of whatever pedals the customer has?
-
Yeah the customer usually supplies the pedals, of course i will offer my opinions. . for example the first pic has an Xotic RC booster on there. . the customer sent me a Keeley Katana boost to use but it just didnt work so we went with the RC.
I supply the case, power supply and George L's if requested but the customer is welcome to supply everything.

when i broaden my pedal collection beyond a wah ill look into one
then again at that point itll be wah - tuner - volume - chorus - phaser/flanger

I dont think he uses a G System. . Steve Vai is using one though.

Amateur hour then. Here's my three:

This is my latest one that I put together using a CNB pedal case. It needs a daisy chain cable with 90 degree plugs on it so that I can sort out some of the overly tight spacing issues. I had to rip the rubber feet off the Korg G4 and the RAT to stick the velcro on them. The Cry Baby is a pain in the butt as the screws that old the feet on do not screw in all the way once the feet are removed. I used some washers to take up the slack.
Cry Baby -> ProCo Vintage RAT -> Reveren Drivetrain II -> Korg G4
Fender ST-1 tuner running from the G4's headphone socket.
My other two:

I bought the Boss BCB-60 a couple of years ago when I was gigging a lot and got sick of long set-up/break-down times and reliability issues with my effects every time we played or rehearsed. It imposed compromises on my effects selection due to the form factor that the board can accept, and I ended up replacing just about every pedal that I put in it when I bought it in the end.
Currently it has:
Fender Sparkle Tune -> Boss CS-3 -> Keeley DS-1 Ultra -> Keeley TS-9 Mod+ -> Keeley TS-9 Baked Mod -> Boss CH-1 -> Marshall Echohead
The other board's built on a Gator Pedal Tote and contains:
Boss TU-2 -> Barber Tone Press -> Fulltone Ultimate Octave -> Fulltone Fulldrive II FM -> Fulltone Mini Deja Vibe
That's what happens when your wife saying "It's Father's Day next week, buy yourself something" is followed shortly by a guy from one of the gearhead baords who lives locally to you sending you and email advertising a lot of tempting stuff for sale. I bought everything but the TU-2 and the Fulldrive from him then needed the Pedal Tote to put 'em on. Now if I could just find a Robin Trower tribute act that needs a guitar player I might get to use it! :D

I'm liking the pedal boards, I'd post mine, but I've yet to put my pedals on a board and buy a power supply. I only need the Java Boost, and then it will be complete! I'd best work some more overtime this month.
