Hi there folks,
first of all, let me say hi to everyone in here, and a very big thank you to Tim for the really fast service on my first BKP-Purchase!
And what a great package with a pick, strings and all in a nice and comfy box, i am very pleased and can't wait to hear my (so sexy looking) aged nickel nailbomb!
well, that said, i would like to hear some opinions (hopefully from the man himself too) on the idea of how to wire up the nailbomb on my (yet to be finished) custom guitar.
i will have a harmonic design Z-90 in the neck position, and the nailbomb in the bridge position, and i am now planing on putting in a mini- or 3-way switch in to be able to either coil-split the NB (use as singlecoil), or switch from parallel to serial wiring.. (4-conductor version here)
what do you guys think? does it make sense on the NB?
thanks for reading, i hope my foreign english is understandable... ;-)=
greetings,
shagga

if you read the discussion a few below this (single humbucker in a guitar) you will see that i posted a diagram for a switch that will give you series/parallel if you use a on-on miniswitch or push/pull pot or give you series/singlecoil/parallel if you use a on-on-on miniswitch

I had a nailbomb split in a strat, and it had a very nice beefy strat tone as a single that cut through with out the brittleness. I had another push-pull to add the bridge with any of my other pickups, which are irish tours. This gave me a funky Nocentelli or Jimmy nolen sound,(meters.James Brown respectively) I almost liked the split singleness of the NB better at times. It's great clean too that way. so definitely at least split it.

Hey Guys,
thanks for your replys!
WezV: Nice, found your diagram and it is really very understandable!
(I guess this is for the 3-way miniswitch option, right?)
i think i will go for this solution then.
a 3-way miniswitch for the nailbomb, series, singlecoil and parallel.

the switch and the wiring looks the same whether its a 3-way mini switch or a 2 way switch or push/pull pot
