Hi Steve,

A great honor to have you on this board!  PDT_003

Did you try a few Bare Knuckle pickups before choosing the NB bridge and CS neck? I think everybody is interested by the opinion about such a great artist like you.

Well, you got your answer from the man himself 8)
Steve's black LP Standard has a calibrated  Nailbomb set in it with open coils, gold pole screws and black slugs.
I've just mailed out a set of white Cold Sweats for Steve's white LP standard so it'll be interesting to see what he makes of those.

And before any of you ask, yes Steve pays for his pickups too, he started out with a gold covered Mule set last year!

Oh yeah, welcome to the forum Steve :D

Wow - welcome on board Steve.

Mmmm- a mix of Nailbomb and cold sweat neck sounds good
Just trying a cold sweat set and finding it very interesting but the Cold sweat may just have a bit more crunch and "aunch"- may have to give it a try!!

Hey Tim,

What are the specs on the Cold Sweat neck? I know the bridge is like 14K with a big ceramic magnet. Are the Cold Sweats available?

Eric

No - yours are sat in a box waiting for the guitar to be ready to fit them in
Mine are black as opposed to the zebra ones for your custom Feline axe

Mmm, interesting! So the output isn't a million miles away from the Nailbomb, but the Cold Sweat is ceramic.  How's its tone-balance sort of thing come out?

Hang on -- am I reading this right?  The bridge is lower output than the neck?  Or did those numbers get reversed?  Or am I just confused!

No you're right. The neck PU is higher than the bridge one (it's the same as the MM neck PU isn't it?). Just curious how does it sound (but will know soon ;-) )

Remember DC doesn't = output.
Although the Cold Sweat neck has a higher DC res, it has less turns of wire than the bridge................it's to do with wire gauge.Anyway, as always, use yours ears first and worry about the spec later.

Definitely not. I swear that my VHII is as loud, volume wise, as my Miracle Man. Tonally, tho, totally different ballgame. (as we say in America :) )
