hmm - seems just a bit daft, but at least it gives me an idea on what to do with the next unsaveable neck that comes my way!!

it would be an ok idea but... like... i'm guessing you dont pick, you just practice with your fretting hand? which surely kinda defeats half the purpose of practising...

Who practices on only the first 7 frets?!!

1. Sounds EXACTLY like the kind of thing Rusty Cooley would endorse -.-

2. Why not just warm up on a guitar?

3. Your right hand needs to warm up just as much as your left hand. This is ridiculous...

hmm i'm interested to try one. +1 on the right hand thing though.
the site says that the tuners are for tension, and not tuning :S weird.
Also - how the hell do you hold one to practice on?

apparently you rest the curved section of the headstock on you leg if you are sitting down or it has strap buttons for you to walk around with it.

The idea with the tension is that it apparently helps you develop callouses as well.

Its a daft idea - better of getting a gripmaster that actual excersises your fingers and replacing the finger pads with sandpaper to help you get callouses.  actually - i think i might patent that . . .  hands off my ideas!!!

I can see a strap button on that pic posted there ^ so i assume its held on by a strap a and just do left hand shizz on it.

Also, No locking tremolo so its practically useless

Did they put that site up on April 1st and forget to take it down?

I'm just learning to play, so I'm happy to try things, but that just leaves me speachless.

thats the greatest thing i have ever seen, i must have it to perpetually improve my guitar technique far past what practise on an actual guitar would do and i bet itll make me a sure thing with th ladies......

maybe if the neck was scalloped it could be used as a finger excersizer - but then it would be teaching you bad practice since you need such a soft touch on scalloped necks!!

It seriously makes me want to walk up to the workshop, pick up one of the many necks i seem to be saving for something, drill 6 string holes just after the last fret and post it off to them as an improved full scale version - it would take me five minutes, anyone want one.  I can even make a little curved section to attach to the end of the neck to rest it on you knee.

Custom made full fretboard shred necks for £150 - i reckon thats a fair price if you pay £40 for just 7 frets

At first I thought that these were useless, then last night when I was reading up on scale theory in bed I thought "Christ one of those would actually be quite handy now"..........

..........The I thought that you wouldn't be able to play to scales on it anyway, so it's back to being fairly useless

Trouble is that those strings wont play in tune as the string does not have its full length
So what you hear is misleading.......makes it kinda useless apart from a physical workout tool

ok.... well as much as i'm about to be laughed at, if i knew of these 3 weeks ago, i would have got one!
i will be combining (harvest) as of friday, from 8am to 1am, and then playing guitar for an hour or so, hopefully i won't get that much worse
i can't fit a guitar in there.... and so i am sat there twiddling with the computer while the autopilot drives it.
may be of use to commuters too?
lol i'm sure i have seen one to practice picking technique too, didn't look as professional atleast - or have endorsement whores names on it

Isn't the banjo the fastest selling instrument in the UK at the moment?

That shred thing is a waste of time. I'd rather buy a banjo...
