What's everyones favourite films with guitars in them? Yes, possible one of the more random questions about films. Guitars don't have to be the main theme. ie. 'Deliverance' with it's dueling banjo's scene.
I'll start
Spinal Tap (goes without saying really)
Crossroads (so bad it circles back around to good again)
Strange Fruit
Walk The Line (A truely amazing film about the man in black)
Once Upon A Time In Mexico & Desperado (Guns & guitars & guitars that are guns...)
The Bill & Ted films
The Waynes World films
Pick Of Destiny
Your turn

Oh, and some great 70s films:
Tommy
Slade In Flame
That'll Be The Day
Stardust
And a not-so-great 70s film:
Confessions Of A Pop Performer
-
Wayne's world - super and 70's Strat;
Oh brother where art thou - acoustic played by famous artist who sold his soul;
The Blues Brothers - Fender Tele and Gibson SG;
Cry Baby - unknown arch top;
Street Racers - black Danelectro U2;
Roadhouse - Strat with Jeff Heally
-
watched Luc Besson's "Subway" last night - what a film. Eric Serra giving some great funk bass.
the psycadelic western "Zachariah" is a bit weird, but lots of 70s hard rock bands. love it :)

Apparently he was pretty good - he'd never played before so they got Arlen Roth to teach him and he was a fast learner. Wonder if he carried on playing? He certainly has time on his hands nowadays...
