When using delay pedals in the loop of my Engl Blackmore (2 x Boss DD-3 delays), the delay repeats sound like they are overloading the signal, and sound distorted and harsh. In the loop in this order is a Boss graphic for solo boost, Rocktron Hush, then the 2 delay pedals. It's worse when you are playing solo's, as there's an annoying fuzzy sort of background noise always present. It's not as apparent on the clean channel, although if you dig in and play hard, the distortion is there. I have the loop signal level set at 50%. On the front pannel, the dirty channel pre amp volume is set at 9 o clock, and the master at 11. I found that if the preamp volume is set higher than the master, the problem is even worse. I've tried to tolerate it, but it's really annoying me now.Somebody help please, as I'm starting to give up on this amp a little, and I'm sure there's a simple explanation as to what I'm doing wrong.

Maybe the EQ pedal is distorting the delay sound?? try the delay pedals before the EQ in the chain.
I use a Blackmore myself and have never had any problems with a DD3 in the Loop. . i always run the amps effects level at 100% wet
Stick with the amp. . its killer!!

With my Mesa, the channel-master (volume) is the send-level (volume) and the Master is the return-level.It can be tricky with some racks but with my DSD2,no problem..But it seems your send-level is too high for the DD3 input...If you can lower the input level (DD3),you should be ok.It could be your Boss graphic level (too high)?Try with just 1 DD3 in the loop, then the 2 DD3...Good luck  I have some problems myself with a Lexicon MX200 (no output level in these !With some effects,unity-gain seems impossible to achieve...so,feedback apocalypse :? Help !)
