Title: any love for Chimaira here?

I've only just discovered this band last week and they're pretty decent - remind me of Lamb Of God a little (and Pantera at times).

Best album for me is The Impossibility Of Reason - guitars sound REALLY CHUNKY on that album.

Any other bands in this vein I should be checking out?

I'm not that into them but they ain't bad, I was front row for them at download, and I met them a year or 2 ago, but that's only because I went to see Dark Tranquillity supporting them

the singer doesn't under northern English with a cold and the bassist is 99% deaf

I was a big fan of them for a while, but have not paid much attention to them in recent years. Impossibilty Of Reason was my favourite album by them. Love the tones.

Ultra generic NWOAHM fare, a bandwagon they were quick to jump on when nu-metal died.

Always seem to tour on good bills though, so I've ended up being bored by them live a couple times.
