Post by: headtheball on August 10, 2007, 08:59:16 PM: I got my Eggle back after lending it to a local maniac for a bit of recording (It sounds ungodly, by the by, I'll amke sure to get a linky for it when it's released), and he mentioned I should maybe change the covers on the pickups, as he'd accidentally chipped one. Now, ordinarily, I wouldn't give a stuff about such things, but I've had a notion of going cream on this particular instrument.

What do you guys think?

Post by: Oli on August 11, 2007, 07:13:51 PM: Mystery 3rd for me... the mystery being chrome, like some of the others said. I don't think that cream will really go with the chrome hardware and silver-ish finish personally. Post pictures when it's done (regardless of what you chose) :)

As for the pickups, although I voted cream I would love to see the pickups finsshed to the same colout to the rest of the body.

I'd have two of that guitar, one like the one I have as is, and an "evil twin", with cream covers, a maple fretboard and the burst reversed on it.

What sort of weigh are those Waves, I imagine that theyre pretty light.

The only one they have left is a prototype of the Eggle doublecut though, it's a pretty nice guitar to play.

However they don't have any more waves (I think blue, headtheball & dave_mc bought most of their eggle stock)

i'm just annoyed i didn't try eggles sooner when they had more stock. the one they have left is a bit too similar to mine, and i prefer mine, basically. slightly comfier neck, nicer shaper, etc. little things, obviously, but it makes all the difference.

That being said, i was extremely lucky, as i didn't notice the one they have left when i bought mine. :lol:

Phonee the guys at TMC (that I posted previously) as they do very decent deals for cash (hint) particularly on their Eggles

Oh yeah, the one they have is still a nice guitar. Just too similar to what i already have to justify a purchase, etc., etc.
