Title: Job Hunting
Post by: ToneMonkey on August 16, 2007, 03:22:25 PM
Is it just me, or is job hunting the only thing actually worse than going to work?

I just can't be arsed anymore, anyone want to give me a job?

Anyone else job hunting at the minute>

Just got a new job if that counts (???) - I must've got knocked back at least 10 times before that though.

I agree, job hunting sucks - they make you jump through hoops and the majority of the stuff you're tested on will never be used in your job.

Yep, spent the last year job hunting after foolishily going back to uni to do a postgrad journalism course - hit the magazine job market about three months into a panic period where the big publishers were laying off more people than they were taking on.

I'm freelancing at the moment, but still very much looking for full time work, and I couldn't agree more - it is a righteous pain in the arse. I have a very low bull$h1t tolerance level too, which makes filling in some of the forms a pretty irritating experience.

Jobhunting sucks, especially in IT as the pay is low and everyones got qualifications up to their eyeballs!

I'm hunting for a job, got an interview for one I really want but will more than likely not get it, they say its about 1 in 10 chance.

Got a trainee civil engineering job this week. Still would have preferred to have gone to uni but i guess this will do for now.
