That thing is ugly, BUT I don't think that qualifies as a "guitar"...

Does it?   :?

Nope.

But if you sharpened it a bit it could still be an "Axe".

I don't want to lower the tone, but it looks like a load of rolled-up condoms floating in a swimming pool...

Other than that, nice guitar.

I'll nominate that Dean Zakk Wylde "Muddy Bullseye" (http://www.deanguitars.com/zakk_wylde.htm).  I'm sure there are uglier guitars out there, but it's the unholy offspring of a V and an SG - the whole concept is just WRONG.

[thinks: maybe I should stop keeping my Vs and SGs next to each other, in case they breed...  :? ]

Awful.

in the interests of fairness i will post one of my uglier ones.

It was designed by my girlfriend based on one of those basses with f-holes cut all the way through the body (ampeg i think).

I think it might work better as a long scale instrument but the short scale neck amkes this look a bit club like - and the painted f-holes dont look great close up.

Good point, maybe we should set a rule: Only instruments that have required an amount of skill to build can be entered into the contest.

That MTV "guitar" looks like it was a 12 year-old's woodwork project or something.

Might I also suggest the Ultrazone guitar as used by Vai?

In fact, for a whole bunch of nasty looking guitars: http://www.vai.com/Machines/guitars2.html

Trust Vai to have a full host of godawful paint-jobs and silly shapes at his disposal. Most notably the Ultrazone, Despagni Zng Zng, Heart and Flame Guitars.

I'm sure they sound nice, but they burn my eyes to look at.

The winner of course has to be Dean, i've only seen one of their guitars that looked alright, and that's only because it was a superstrat-ish shape. Hideous guitars, with paintjobs of equal hideousness!

I kinda like that SG posted above though!

NOOOO, I like that Gibson Corvus!  The colour is especially cool.

I'd buy one in a second if I could find one really dirt cheap, but they're always a bit overpriced.

Is it just me or does the the gap between the bridge and the start of the neck look to big on that Him monstrosity? And I am assuming the kid doesn't play anything past the 12th fret...

Well spotted!  Yeah, there's room for about 6 humbuckers...

I don't see how it can possibly be playable.  :?

Aye I noticed the kid said it plays really well.... must be new to playing I guess.

Dunno about 6 buckers, but I've seen 4 on one axe, hehe. Nigel Tufnel's 4 bucker Ernie Ball. Saw it at the London Guitar show this year, it's an amazing axe, hehe! I don't think it qualifies as an Ugly guitar though, it's just very OTT, hehe.
