Well I want some soft music to listen to. I've discovered the non-insane side of Buckethead (Colma and Electric Tears albums, Check them out) I decided I wanted more stuff like this anyone got ideas? It doesnt have to be mainly guitar like those albums are, but thats the style of music im after.
oh, and Marooned by Pink Floyd is now my favourite song ever I looove the guitar tone in that, simply spine tingling :o

I always like elliot smith when i want something to chill out to.
I really enjoyed seeing these at a Ed Harcourt gig in wolverhampton:

it was one of the most stangely chilled out shows i have ever been to, for a start it had caberet style seating, and the audience were so focused on every wisper it was deadly quiet in the crowd.
the other support at the gig was these:

I never realised the musical saw could actually sound nice.
it made a great change from getting squashed in a sweaty mosh pit, thats for sure

If you don't mind the non- guitar side then Royskopp are brilliant, I'm enjoying chilling out to the brothers of a feather album at the moment though as well as Dominc Millers solo stuff

Chickity check out massive attack, zero 7 and maybe something like the beta band or american analog set. All big favourites of mine.

Sounds of the ocean?
lol seriously that stuff is relaxing though it's not music really.
I like Eric Johnson's calmer playing like pieces such as Manhattan or SRV, i find it really calming since i'm listening to metal most of the day.

It's like you lot are going through my album collection, weird.
Anyway, have a listen to Pete Molinari. Found him at a festival recently (althogh I missed his set and found him on the stereo of my mates van - long story). You can listen to him on his website.

Depends what you think of as "chill out".
But favourites when I'm in that kinda mood: Air, Isis, Will Haven, Devil Sold His Soul, Neurosis, PeterGabriel, Youssou N'dour, Kate Bush, Sinead O'Conner....

If I need to chill out, I'll listen to some Fun Lovin' Criminals or (when it's hot) Bob Marley.
