These are my bases, the bottom picture is one that was ready to pick up after LGS, but the lacquer cracked and Will wanted to respray it. It is a 5-String, neck through to bridge hollow body with Bartolini pickup and a piezo bridge.
The others are:
Front
Modulus Grapite Quantum 5-string - Bartolini electronics, my main gigging bass since I bought it in about 1993
1973 Rickenbacker 4001 - heavily modified! Schaller bridge, SD Musicman bridge pu. Rick neck, active electronics, no lacquer on refretted fingerboard. Awesome sounding
1966 Precision - refinished shell pink, BK 62 P-Bass pickup, other than that and the respray, all original
Couch
1963 Thunderbird - the sound if you like thick percussive bottom end. Delicate bases though. This needed major surgery, Will Scott made an amazing job - even down to restoring the 9 ply neck!
Warmoth 8-string - EMG pickups, Schaller bridge.
I have played bass for a long time, many years ago I used to play bass in a cover band, but when we went out as a rock band, I swapped places with the guitar player. I am also waiting for a 62 Stack Pot Jazz (with BK pickups), from Bravewood guitars. I will also make a fretless soon, I used to have one and would like to get back into it.

so on that last one is the bridge actually mounted on a raised neck section with the top wood cut around it - thats very clever and kind of insane for something most people would never notice, even tonally it must be a very subtle difference.... I like that kind of attention to detail

nice collection, i'm luvvin that rickenbacker man, h8 the rickz tones (or at least the ones i've heard) but DAMN are they sexy beasts! your a lucky guy!
that "will" 5 string is also kickass! (i'm a 5string nutter i am :D )

Another gorgeous collection!
The Modulus is GORGEOUS!
And love the burst on the build at the bottom.

love the golden 'bare knuckle' oscar-award figure stuff!! (how did you get that anyway??)
Is this what you fit onto the tip of your pimp-stick phil??

Hmmm, I am loving that little lot Phil. I do love Ric Basses and the pink Precision looks great though I am not sure I'd have the front to turn up at the "Frog & Bogbrush" with it.

I went through the design with Will Scott. I let him make the shape any way he wanted, my only real criteria were the headstock had to be 2 & 3 for longer string length for the B & E strings (35" scale), and the bridge had to be mounted to the neck, and the neck doesn't reach the end of the body! The reason for the bridge mount is the piezo bridge, I figured if it was on the neck I would get a truer tone from it.

34" scale. I was looking at it today and I will give it a good setup. When I was playing there were 2 songs I used it for - one was one of our own with a nice bass intro, the other was All Along the Watchtower!

It is a Bare Knuckle Stout beer tap - I saw it on ebay and couldn't resist it!

The octave strings on that 8 string bass is actually guitar's strings, right?
Does it works right in bass tuners???
Have you some record with that bass? :D

No, they are actually piccato bass strings. They are made by rotosound. They also make an 8 string bass set, but I wanted to use Scalar strings for the main bass strings. I am just in the middle of setting it up again. I'll put something together in a couple of weeks.
