Title: difference between 4 Conductor, 50 mm and 53mm?

for LP what would one use?

50mm spacing is usual for Gibson. Braided 2 conductor is 'standard' wiring - 4 conductor allows you to split the coils (to allow you to use a single coil) but you will need to wire the  pickup through a push pull pot or a mini switch. If you are not sure you can still use 4 conductor wired as 'standard'.

Why not take a ruler to your strings over the bridge pickup and measure from centre of high E to centre of Low E

If it is 50mm get a 50mm pickup
If it is 52-53mm then get a 53mm one

If you would NEVER want to coil tap or phase reverse a pickup (or parallel connect the coils) get the single conductor version, otherwise get the 4 conductor one
Most Gibsons only ever come with  the single conductor to be fair though.

most les paul bridges are 52 mm
