Title: Anyone heard of Dave Storey?
Post by: Crazy_Joe on September 11, 2007, 07:40:41 PM
He is a drummer one of my college tutors (main one) and apparently he is a prog rock legend according to one of the other tutors hahaha. I've done some research and i found him drumming for some band on youtube!!

Anyone know of him or this band? I found it quite cool haha.

Edit: The band is called 'The Enid' and this is from their website:

Left band: 1976 and after rejoining finally left in 1978. Played with the band occasionally as a session musician until 1988. Rejoined again in November 1997 to complete White Goddess

Recordings: In The Region Of The Summer Stars - Aerie Faerie Nonsense - Touch Me - The Spell - Salome - Final Noise - White Goddess.

There was a Dave Storey who invented the Kahler tremolo system, and he's British - don't suppose it's the same guy?

Just watched the clip, didn't realise it was The Enid!  Yes, I remember them - a bit too "prog" and not enough "rock" for me, but good band.

And i don't know if he is a plumber but if he was he wouldn't be teaching us i don't think.
All i know about him is that he drummed for The Enid and that he now teaches at North herts college in Hitchin
