Where do I measure it?
I've read about how some SG's have F-Spacing... so where exactly do I measure it?
-
bridge: string to string.
should be 50mm?
-
From the outside of the low E to outside of the high E, at the bridge, it measures 52...wtf
from inside strings - 50
-
the centre of the grooves in the bridge saddles?
centre of the string to centre of string?
-
50 and 52 :?
-
well shouldn't the string be sitting straight in the saddle groove?
-
Yeh they are... hmm... maybe I'll just order 50mm?
-
measure the centre of the polepiece to the centre of other polepiece on your current P up?
I guess Gibson's are usually 50mm
-
Its wierd :?
Cus I've read some SG's and Exlorers are 53mm, this seems to g from 50-52.. so I'll maybe just stick to 50?
-
i know! measure the spacing of the pickups instead of the strings! that should get it sure fire aligned.

:P what if its a blade
well, my local guitar tech said that it won't make too much difference anyway.
and if its not a custom job, i think Tim will do a swap in 14 days for cost of postage.

Right, the neck is definitely 50mm, the bridge seems wider :)
-
My SG is 52mm at the bridge & 50mm at the neck.

Yup, seems to be that!
-
the neck is always 50mm regardless of the type of guitar because the strings get closer together as you get closer to the nut.
