Title: Parker P-38 - Any opinions?
Post by: Brow on September 16, 2007, 01:38:01 PM
Hey guys.

Just wondered if anyone here any experience with the Parker P-38 guitars at all?

Any pros/cons etc or general opinions would be appreciated.

Thanks.

Craig

Yep, used to have one.  Sold it to a mate as I had no need for it anymore.  I used it in a band where I needed an acoustic and electric guitar sound in the same song.  It worked pretty well.

Nicely put togethe, played very well, if a little sterile sounding.  Could use an upgrade to some warmer pickups.

Nice little guitar.

Thanks for your post :)

I have the option of buying 1 of the Transparent Red 1's in about 9.5/10 condition for £200, so just thought I'd read up on them 1st :)

How do the acoustic pickups sound?

It's a reasonable acoustic sound, good as far as piezo bridges go...

I've only been able to try the guitar through a practise amp as of yet, so I can't really judge the sound of the Piezo or Magnetic pickups based on that.

Acoustically the guitar sounded ok, and played well, but my main thing is on the quality of the acoustic tones.

IF I do decide to get this guitar, I have to drive almost 3 hours to fetch it, so I wanna make sure before I go to those lengths etc :)
