Well, here's something I recorded for my friend, who wanted to hear Nailbomb do Annihilator form the Never, Neverland album. It's quite short, but I think you'll like it :D
When I get some time, I might even record the rest of it... For now tell me what you think!
Ibnanez RG1527, Guitar Rig
Oh yes, it's an Alnico 8 Nailbomb!!!
EDIT: I did some research last night... I think the second clip (anni2) sounds even closer to that Neverland tone.... Check it out! Same riff played, but with different settings!

Sounds BADASS!!! - lots of compression, you can hear it coming in on the first note. What's the recording setup?

No compression used ahahahaha :D I just recorded it twice and panned each samle 60 percent (out of 100) to each side....
BTW What do you mean "BADASS"... Is it that "bad"?
-
I think he meant theres a lot of natural compression coming from your guitar. And "BADASS" is gooooooooooooooooddd :D
-
Aha :D
I was just checking, ahahahaha :D
And thanks!

BADASS means VERY GOOD and HEAVY, BRUTAL TONE.

No it's not! I only use Guitar Rig for amp modeling, eq stuff etc. I use my external distortion from my guitar processor!
Thanks :)

Here are the settings..

So how does this Guitar Rig modeller work then? - do I plug into the souncard via a DI Box and tune the G/Rig in or is there a some kind of interface you need to buy like a Toneport?

You need to plug your guitar into your favorite distortion pedal, then connect your favorite distortion pedal with the sound card line in, set the input levels within the guitar rig, and thats about it!
I use my Korg ToneWorks processor instead of a distortion pedal and use its built in distortion.
I don't use Rig Control (you get it with the program) cos I don't need it, cos I don't like the built in distortions!

Add some more treble and maybe presence and it will be closer.
-
how much is Guitar Rig? - or is there a snide version I can download?
