I'm thinking of getting a dogear BKP-91 for my newly-acquired Epi LP Jr.
The product page says the BKP-90 models come with "a choice of hand machined nickel silver or brass baseplates".
Any thoughts on whether the baseplate material affects the tone, or any other reason to choose one over the other?
Cheers! :)

Hmm, I only know brass bridges or nuts ... this is a question for his highness TM 8)

We don't use brass at all these days instead we make our own nickel silver P90 baseplate.Apologies, that part of the product profile needs changing

As far as i know the oldest P90's had nickel-silver baseplates later they started using chome and brass baseplates. I remember reading something about sonic transparency and that nickel-silver plating was the preferred way to go. Using more sonically transparent baseplates would prevent high-end loss.
Then there is another thing i seem to remember is a story about brass baseplates being used when dogears needed to be custom fitted etc.
But anyway, something in this direction i suppose, im pretty sure the nickel-silver plate would definately be the way to go with a P90, and appearantly so does BKP 8) .
