Title: BKP-92 on Aerosmith
Post by: hunter on September 30, 2007, 07:54:22 AM
I am struggling with the verse rhythm, so it doesn't groove in that part, but otherwise it's a lot of fun to play.

BKP-92 in a Gibson LP special double cut through Xotic RC Booster into Diezel Einstein, Ch1 Mode 3. Speaker was a G12-65, mic a SM57.

All parts played with the same settings, just the mic was moved more towards the speaker cone in the verse and the 2nd intro riff.

Thanks dude. I thought it was very close to the original when I recorded it, but listening back to Aerosmith made me realise that the original is even more trebly/fizzy.

Not what I would call a great sound myself, but in the context of that song, the Perry-sound rules definitely.

Quite pleased with the Diezel though, especially with the Xotic boost, it's hyper clear and transparent, I was able to hear each of my mistakes very clearly on my gig last friday  :P

The intro riff has definitely a good Aerosmith feeling. Sounds great.
I thought it was lacking thickness in the lead part though... I mean don't get me wrong it sounded nice, but I think I would want a bit more body for the lead.
