There is a new Splawn amp, kinda Überschall clone thing. Here are vids with a Quickrod against the Nitro, Nitro always on the left. The guy on the right with the Quickrod (TJ) smokes them all though, Quickrod wins big time I'd say...

I watched the vids then immediately listened to Dio....man that is an accurate amp for playing that stuff!

They sound fizzy, a bit boxy and nasal to me, I'd like to hear them in person though.

I'd have thought they'd have at least tried a bit of the more hard stuff in their marketing, in addition to this kind of rocky pop stuff...
On the one hand, I'd like to have the skills that those guys have, but on the other, downtune and turn the gain up, ffs!

i have to say, just hearing them widdle endlessly doesn't really give much of an idea of what the amps sound like.  also, it was really boring!

Too right Blue. I was falling asleep after about 5 seconds.
   I just don't get why soooooooo many vids and soundclips of gear are just aimless noodling and w_ _ _ _ _ g. Most "real" players in most "real" situations play way more chords than they ever do solos.
  Although if you're trying to market your amps to the "self-pleasuring"  community, I suppose it makes sense to put that sort of stuff in marketing vids.   :(

you know.. you cant really listen to amps on youtube... all that compression and cr@p. doesnt really give the right sound of it

Damn right, amp buying is something you have to do at a shop or something imo.
