Title: I need a volume pedal!
Post by: the_bleeding on October 03, 2007, 08:36:09 PM
title says it all. I need something thats as transparent as it can be, and is analog, because i feel digital isnt transparent no matter what you do

the problem is though that i dont want it to bleed off any trebel (lieka  250k pot), and i only want a simple single channel volume pedal, the idea of spending 200-300$ on a stereo volume pedal that i'll never use sickens me.

suggestions?

thanks guys :)

I have a boss volume pedal, and it made no difference to my tone whatsoever.

It's completely passive, no batteries required so I'd guess it's just a few pots inside. Built like a tank, it's the only thing boss has made that I'm happy with.

Check out the George Dennis volume pedals, if you can get them. Superbly built, optical control and very reasonable priced.

I have the Boss FV500H, it works really well, nice easy control and no tonal raping at all.

George Dennis seconded. I recently bought a GD120 volume/tremolo from guitarandampshop.co.uk: they're clearing GD stock, and so prices are reduced. Great, rugged pedal, transparent. I just wanted the volume swell control, but the tremolo has already come in handy.
